Purchase Assistance: Low to Moderate Income First-Time Home Buyers
This program provides down payment and closing cost assistance to low to moderate income first-time homebuyers. The amount of assistance varies with income level and is available on a first-come, first-qualified basis until funding is exhausted. Assistance is in the form of a 15-year, 0% interest deferred second loan that reverts to a grant if all program conditions are met.
To begin the purchase assistance pre-application process with the city, a buyer must provide the following two (2) documents:
1. A pre-approval letter from a financial institution based on income. Purchase assistance subsidy from the city must not be considered when determining the pre-approval amount.
2. A Purchase/Sale Contract for a property in the City of Miramar. The maximum allowable sales price under the program is $679,324.
After these two preliminary documents are reviewed and accepted, the buyer/applicant will be invited to complete the full application and commence the income certification process.
