Rental Assistance Program
Assistance with Renting a New Home
This program provides up to $8,000 to assist eligible households with the required upfront rental deposit (first and/or last month’s rent) and/or utility connection/start-ups to move into a new unit.This is a one-time grant provided by the City of Miramar and is not on-going monthly rental assistance.
The Rental Assistance Program is administered by the City of Miramar in conjunction with the City’s consultant, Community Revitalization Affiliates, Inc.

The Social Service’s department is dedicated to assisting individuals and families facing homelessness, providing essential resources to help them regain stability. we also offer counseling services to address various personal and family issues. Our trained professionals are here to provide guidance and support, ensuring that residents have access to the help they need during difficult times.

Broward County’s Family Success Centers
Broward County’s Family Success Responsible for providing Broward County Residents with case management services who need emergency rent, mortgage, or utility assistance due to experiencing an unexpected loss of income and can demonstrate their ability to maintain their household bills after receiving assistance. Services will help residents to become financially stable and help prevent them from experiencing homelessness. Below are the Eligibility requirements.
Eligibility Requirements
Residents may qualify for emergency assistance if they have recently experienced the following in the past six (6) months:
- Loss of employment.
- Reduction in household income.
- Unexpected expenses.
- Received eviction notice.
- Received Mortgage default letter.
- Received Past due utility or shut-off notices.
- You are required to have a financial sustainability plan that demonstrates that you can maintain your household bills after your rent, mortgage, and/or utility bills have been paid through the Family Success Administration Division.
