Miramar Business Academy (MBA) - Open 

The Miramar Business Academy offers a dynamic learning experience for Miramar-based business owners and entrepreneurs. Through workshops, expert-led sessions, and mentorship, participants gain practical tools to build stronger, more resilient businesses while fostering meaningful community connections.

Small Business Grant Program - Closed

This competitive grant provides financial assistance exclusively to small businesses operating in the City of Miramar. Funds can be used to support growth, expansion, job creation, or operational improvements — all with the goal of boosting the city’s economic vitality.

Small Business Signage Grant - Open 

The Signage Grant Program helps eligible Miramar businesses enhance their storefronts through improved or new signage. By increasing visibility and curb appeal, this program supports local businesses while beautifying Miramar’s commercial corridors.

Is Your Small Business Eligible for the Broward County Micro-Grant?

The Broward County Board of County Commissioners has established the Broward County Small Business Micro-Grant Pilot Program to provide working capital of up to $5,000 for eligible expense reimbursements to the smallest of small businesses based in Broward County. Now in its third year, the Small Business Micro-Grants will be available to eligible applicants in the following categories:

• $5,000 for new eligible grant applicants

• $2,500 for prior eligible grant recipients, allowing all grantees the opportunity to receive the same total grant amount*

 

*The maximum amount any small business can receive over the life of the program is $5,000.

 

Schedule Your Micro-Grant Intake Appointment Beginning Monday, April 13, 2026

NEW in 2026: To ensure complete applications are received, all interested applicants are required to schedule a micro grant application intake meeting (virtual or in-person) by calling OESBD at954-357-6400starting onMonday, April 13, 2026. OESBD staff will meet one-on-one with applicants to review the required documents and complete the grant application.

 

Applicants with incomplete information will be informed of the required documents, given the opportunity to gather them, and may schedule another micro grant application intake meeting. Only complete applications will be accepted and processed on a first come, first served basis, subject to funding availability.
