Purchase Assistance: Moderate Income Mortgage Assistance
NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS

The Moderate-Income Down Payment Assistance Program provides eligible first-time homebuyers with up to $30,000 in deferred loan assistance (up to 10% of the purchase price) to help with down payment and/or closing costs for a home located within the City of Miramar. This assistance will make homeownership more attainable for households within this income bracket and reflects the City's commitment to expanding homeownership opportunities for moderate-income residents and supporting community growth.
Program Features
- Maximum Assistance: Up to $30,000 in deferred loan assistance.
- Eligible Uses: Down payment assistance, Closing costs
Applicant Eligibility Requirements
- First-time homebuyer (no homeownership in the past 3 years)
- U.S. citizen or legal resident
- Household income not exceeding $165,000
- Applicants must contribute a minimum of 1% of their own funds toward the purchase
Property Requirements
- Must be located in the City of Miramar
- Must be a primary residence (no investment or rental properties)
- Eligible property types include single-family homes, townhomes, and lender-approved condominiums
To begin the pre-application process, the following two documents are required:
- A mortgage pre-approval letter based on income (City assistance may not be included)
- A fully executed purchase and sale contract for a Miramar property
