Sister Cities International (SCI) is a nonprofit citizen diplomacy network that creates and strengthens partnerships between communities in the United States and those in other countries. The City of Miramar is a member of SCI and has an active program led by an advisory board that makes recommendations to elected officials on potential partnerships.

History of Miramar, FL

Miramar, Florida, was incorporated on May 26, 1955, and its name means "View of the Sea" in Spanish.
